Can I connect 3pin connector to the 2 pin lead?

While I was reading the manual of my mobo, I found that there is this 2 pin connector (SMI suspend switch lead) that enables me to connect it to the case mounted SMI suspend switch.
So I can manually turn suspend on and off..by pushing the switch.
Now, I don't have that kind of switch on my case..but the manual says I can use turbo switch instead since it's not in use. And I do have a turbo switch.
So i looked for the turbo switch connector..and guess what, it's a 3 pin connector not 2 pin.
Can i just connects 3 pic connector to the 2 pin lead?
If so, how??

Of course, you can but you need to identify the pins on the mobo and also the pins on the Tubo Sw. Turbo sw is basically a maintaining sw which closes either A or B ckts. While a typical suspend sw uses a single ckt (opens and closes).😎

I would suggest that u leave the smi thing alone. It always creates problem. The suspend feature is not designed well in some motherboards.
