can I checkin my golf clubs for a plane trip??

Thinking of going from LA to oakland, CA...

I wonder if I am able to bring my golf clubs...

Yes you can. I used to fly with golf clubs and fishing polls when I traveled.

You can check them. They will probably go into the "oversized" pile and just come off the baggage claim roller last. I'd suggest getting a good padded case to carry them in though if you don't already have one.

Yep, I've traveled with my clubs plenty of times, but a good hard-shell case is critical. Baggage is not treated too gently and checking in an unprotected bag is an invitation to snapped shafts.


I've got one of these and it works great.

actually I travel a lot with my golf bags, but only on international flights...
and no it doesnt go into oversized baggage..

I am asking bout US domestic flights, u know with the terrorism safety thing going on...
