Hello everyone.

I was wondering if XP/XP Pro has a Logon Screen screensaver and if it does, how I can configure it? I currently have 3 computers in my home network, but right now, after logging off, the screen stays on at the Logon Screen. I tried searching Microsoft's XP site, but couldn't find the right answers.

Any info or help would be great! :D

This is a per-user setting so it wont change the logon screen saver screen.

Although I've never tried I imagine you could do it by setting up the screen saver for the default user.

I think you have to change this through a registry key. Another option would be to find the logon.scr and rename it to logon2.scr and take the screensaver you want and rename it to logon.scr.

This may not work though cause logon.scr could be a protected system file for security reasons. Never tried it before.

logon.scr is a protected system file, but you can tell the logon screensaver itself to load/be say, logon2.scr that is located elsewhere on your system.

You need to do this through the registry.
