can i change my screen/account name in BF2?

i was just messing around when i first installed BF2 - trying to get it past my router, so i used a silly account/screen name for testing.

now, i've been promoted 3 or 4 times and don't want to lose my progress.

does EA/Dice allow for this?

You cant change your name, sorry. You can only add a prefix infront of it.

it's not hard to pass by the first 3 or 4 ranks. if i were you i'd just start all over again. besides if you were messing around, then i would assume your score isn't that impressive, that's what really counts.
