I formated several partitions 2 in NTFS and 3 in Fat32 but at the time I did not notice Partition Magic has a right click feature of selecting the 4k clusters which I need in both NTFS and Fat32, I read it becomes 5X faster that way.

I backed up with Norton Ghost my present instalations of both win98 (non 4k clusters) and win2k ASP (non 4k clusters)
can I change the clusters without a reformat? and not loose my stuff? If I reformat to 4k clusters and restore Norton Ghost backup Image, will it revert the present non 4k clusters?
I know I could test it but so much sweeter if it was done b4.

I need 4k clusters in both Fat32 and NTFS partitions.

Partition Magic 6 has a "Resize Clusters" option.. so I would think you can change them. :)

so does partition magic 5 but can u change them with data in the partition without hurting it? that is what I am asking, but your conclusion is speculation, and thinking, I hoped for experience...

NTFS Partition is Ghosted in the cluster size option so Perhaps the Fat32 can be change to another cluster size but NTFS does not look like u can with partition magic.

I looked up how windows 2k does it and it sais to format it :((( and that the format command is the only way (If so the format will erase the partition)
However, lets say I format and set my partition cluster from the 512 bites in NTFS to 4k, and thereafter I restore the Norton Ghost Image, Will I not revert the Partition to the cluster of 512 bites since Norton Ghost makes an exact Image of the Partition? Or is the Cluster setup saved in Bios or what? It seems I am f#@!&d and need to redo it all, I hope not!!
