Ok here is the question prolly won't work but it is worth a try. I have a set of Boston Acoustics Digitail Ba7500G speakers that only have a digital input( like a mini headphone jack). I just bought a nforce2 mobo and was hoping to use the onboard sound if I can and sell my Audigy. The mobo only has a coax style digital out on it and I am curious is there an adaprter or anything that I can buy to convert this to a minijack style? like a male coax with the other end female minijack?

My BA speakers came with an adapter that is female coax to to male mini jack. If you could get one of these, I'm sure you could then just use a coax cable.

i was under the impression that to use a digital signal you had to output into something that could decode it. so if your speakers can do this and there's an adapter, i don't see why it wouldn't work.
