Can I cancel DIRECTV without penalty due to AT&T merger?

I despise AT&T and will never contribute a single penny to their bottom line so I want out of the last year of my DirecTV contract. Think this can be done since the merger was approved?

Did anything about your service or price change without your consent? No it did not, so no you can't

Glad I switched to dish a couple years ago. Will be even happier when I cut the cord in a couple months.

But yeah you're screwed. Your basically forced to give them a penny one way or another.

I was a fool and left Dish last year. I'll probably just pay the cancellation fee and move forward.
