Can I cancel an eBay auction when someone bid?

I am selling an item on eBay and forgot to put a Buy-it-Now price in. Well, someone already put a starting bid of $0.99 in before I realized the error.

I found I cannot change the auction to include a Buy-It-Now feature. Can I remove this person's bid and relist? If so, How do I do that?

And is it bad to take that action?

WEll, thanks in advance!

if you put a disclaimer the you can cancel the auction at any time then i guess you could.

well, the bidder can't really do anything to you if you cancel his bid. All that's going to happen is you're gonna lose the listing fee, which probably wasn't much anyway.

You MUST cancel all bids first, then you end the auction itself. If you end the auction and it has bids, you're obligated to sell at the current bid (assuming no reserve).

You can cancel it, when you do eBay will give you an option to close it without selling or close it and sell it to the highest bidder. Just choose to close it without selling, you'll only loose listing fees.
