Can I buy a firewire port for the front of PC?

My wife wants to capture video from our camera, and I told her she would need a firewire port. We bought her a fairly new PC, but it has no firewire. I got to thinking, a PCI firewire card would mean that the port would be in the rear of the computer and hard to access.

Do they make an item such as a firewire and/or USB card that hooks to the PCI connector and then runs to something that can be mounted in a 3.5" bay? I've been searching Newegg but can't find anything.

Is there any other solution?

Thanks,

The front port options mentioned above still need a card to provide the electronics for the ports unless her mobo has integrated FW. You just need to find a FW card with the headers for internal connections to work with the port extenders mentioned above. Though front-x has cables that can plug into rear ports or onto the internal headers. You may have a spot on your case that was intended for a front FW port but they didn't provide the cable. front-x sells just cables that may mount up to the spot that was provided with a little effort. In any case, you'll still need a card to provide the electronics.

if your motherboard has a firewire pin and your desktop case has front firewire ports then you can hook them with cable
