i have downloaded a .iso file which is said to be ripped off a dvd.

qn1: can i burn this iso(600mb) file on a cd? will it still work like a dvd?
qn2: can i burn many of these .iso on a single dvd so as to save money?

thank you,
lawrence

Probably not a good idea to talk about dvd-rips. What type of files are in the ISO?
If it's a dvd format then burning to CD will not work. If it's a vcd or divx then it's not dvd format files.
If it's an ISO you can extract it to your PC.

A 600MB file sounds more like a CD. an ISO is a disk image and it has to be burned to the same type of disk that it came from. So be sure what the original was. You can copy 7 or so .ISOs of that size to a DVD to make working disks from later.

anyway i was impatient to wait for a reply and went on with burning the iso on a cd... it was recognised as a dvd on my computer but din work on my dvd player.. don't know why..

to kelvin: the iso i mentioned contains dvd components.. can i burn many of these dvd iso on a single dvd? and see them on a dvd player??

to zepper: its a iso from dvd direct rip. contains vobsub etc directories

and once again thank you all for taking time to reply

you can burn the iso files themselves to a dvd, but your standalone dvd player wont recognize your disk.

You can burn each iso file to a cd, but i doubt your dvd will recognize them either.

The only way to get it to play for sure in your dvd player is to burn each iso file's contents onto an individual DVD
