i get the latest beta of mandrake every once in a while and im too cheap to keep using my cdrs for the iso. can't i just burn the image to a cdrw? its not only cuz im cheap- i have these cdrws that i hardly ever use and want to put them to good use. i think the problem is the cdrws are formatted for adaptec directcd... can i hose that somehow and utilize the full 650 mb on the cdrw?

you can use a cdrw for anything you would use a cdr for (except possibly music cds, as most players wont read an rw disk).

Just use a bland cdrw or erase a disk. Do not format the disk with DirectCD.

yeah, i just used nero to quick erase the cd, and it seems to be burning fine now. i thought that by burning the iso it would erase the cd automatically... apparently i had to tell it to do that specifically. thanks for the confirmation that its possible at least.
