Can I burn DVD's with this app...

My IBM Thinkpad came preloaded with InterVideo's WinDVD Creator 2. Can I use this program to go from inserting a DVD -> exact copy? If not, I know there's a couple of suggestions at the top of this forum. Just tryin' to save some memory 🙂

P.S. I should be using DVD-R's, NOT DVD+R's correct?
