Bleh I thought the baggage checkers would think it was an explosive device or it would bring radio interference.

As long as this "GameBoy" of yours doesn't have a knife concealed in it or acts as a remote to detonate the bomb you put inside the plane, you should be fine :p

You can still bring all approved electronic devices onboard. It's all the same ones as before 911 I would assume. Check out the FAA website.

Sure, but if you turn it off the plane will crash. Unless the Simpsons lied to me. They wouldn't do that, would they?

I'm sure they'll just ask you to power it off during take-off and landing. Usually, this is the only time they worry about interference.

This past Wednesday, my 10 y.o. daughter was caught with a scissors as she was trying to board the plane. They just confiscated the scissors and she was able to board the plane. She just brought it along to cut some crafts - but, completely forgot about the security issues. I'm kind of impressed that the screeners caught it.

Next time bring pyrex scissors. Just in case you need to thwart a hijacking attempt.

how did this thread go from "what is safe to bring on a plane" to "how to hijack a plane with nothing but floss, keys, and your fists"
