Buying myself a 970 in a few weeks time,i do have a few questions concerning this as i am taking a serious look into the Maxwell tech and what it has to offer.Keeping this gpu for about 2 years so hoping to be informed:)

Which card to get with $350?Using Newegg prices here,i won't be doing to much overclocking but perhaps some mild at best.Maybe none at all as my 770 did next to anything.

Some reviews show this uses nearly the same power as my 770,some show much less but the tdp is nearly the same as a 670 so this confuses me.I heard some of the 900 series have issues keeping clocks due to limited tdp?

I ask mostly about power consumption as i may switch my psu with my buddies who has a cx500,i intend to give him my 770 as a gift but i know the cx500 presented me issues on the 770 so i had to get something bigger. This i am not sure about doing yet.My buddy has next to nothing to spend on a psu.

Any other need to know information would be great.:)Rig has a i3 3770 non k,Antec GX500 case with 6x120mm fans and a single ssd.

That Gigabyte looks like one hell of a awesome card, load temperatures are miles better then my 770 and i got a fan curve that hits 65% on this.:eek:Not a big deal but i guess that gigabyte would be whisper quiet.:)

Those overclocking results look fantastic,my luck with cards and overclocking has been terrible but this card looks like it's mean to be overclocked and with a 300w cooler how could you go wrong?

Either i get a card that can hit 980 speeds or i run it stock and enjoy a incredibly cool running card, either way its a win win for me.:p Thanks for posting that recommendation!
