I have a heart murmer, asthma, Poland's syndrome (missing pec) and back and neck problems. I have been told before by people that I can't, so I was just wondering if I don't have to worry about "leaving" to somewhere *whistles*

You'd make a great machine gunner, a SAW would fit you nicely. Any questions Private Pyle?

i doubt anyone has to worry about getting drafted, considering there isn't a draft

Rather than start a whole separate thread, I'll ask here:

A friend told me you can't be drafted if you're enrolled in college. Is this true? Now, I'm NOT a draft-dodger, I'm just curious, because I am planning on going to college after high school regardless.

If you are drafted while in college, you are allowed to finish the current semester. Once that semester is completed, off to camp you go.

Haha in the FAQ, they have "why don't women have to register." It gives you like a 5 pg history essay on the attempts to do this in the past, but they never provide any reason. Kinda funny...

Uhhh, no, you can't be drafted because the draft doesn't exist.
*insert X-files music here*

Besides, why do you think 10,000 reservist are being activated; so you don't have to be sucked in. I just hope I don't deploy :(

That's not quite true. If the draft didn't exist, then it wouldn't be a federal crime not to register for the draft, would it?
The draft was reinstated in the 1980s. I does exist, it is just not in use, but it could be activated whenever the need is felt.
