:disgust:CompSource.Inc accepted my order for the new Antec NSK-6500 case on 7 April and charged my card on 7 April. Since then I have checked with them a number of times and each time they promised shipment in two or three days. Finally, I checked with Antec. They told me that the NSK-6500 had not been released to resellers as yet and they couldn't speculate on when that would happen. On 24 May I e-mailed Antec again and they responded that they expected the first container of 6500's in Fremont , CA around mid-June. I e-mailed CompSource for a shipping update on May 26 and they responded that the case should be shipped from their Georgia warehouse in two to three days. That sounds like a lie to me unless they aren't bothering to check with their supplier for expected shipping dates.
What I think happened here is they knew when they took my $100 bucks that the case was no where like available and just kept stringing me along. If they had advertised pre-ordering that's one thing and most companies won't charge your card until the item ships. They touted shipping within 1 - 3 days back on April 7 and promptly charged my card (debit card). I told the whole story to the BBB in CompSources home town, Cleveland, Ohio.
I'm going to wait them out and see when they do finally ship the case at $100 with free shipping - that's why I went with them in the first place. I should have done the right thing and waited until NewEgg offered the case. If the end of June passes with no case on my front steps. They will be in a heap of trouble with my card issuer and the Ohio Attorney General.
Take heed and don't do business with c-source .com. If I had only taken the time to check thier reseller rating before I clicked ----
