Can I backup my game?

The thing is I have Battlefield 2 on DVD and so does my friend. I let my one friend borrow it over the past week, and when I got it back, it was scratched like no tomorrow. Of course I was plenty pissed, but he refused to repay me. Little b****.

Is it possible to make an exact replica of his and have it work? I have my cd-key I purchased so don't get any ideas. Anyway, would it be possible to burn with Alcohol 120% and use it as the playable DVD? If so, how do I go about doing this?

If this is not legal or something of that sort, please tell me so.

Fixed image is much better than cracks for the sense that you don't need to alter any of the game files

If you already have Alcohol 120%, make an image of the DVD and mount it. Then you no longer need the DVD to play the game.
