Hi, I would like to add an editional 1GB of memory to my A64 3400+ Clawhammer C0 Rev. I already have 1GB of OCZ 3500EB Platinum (512x2). Would it be possible for me to just throw in a 1GB DIMM, or will I have to scrap my 512x2 and buy 2 1GB dimms? I have tried adding a 512mb stick to make 1.5GB, but my computer wouldnt even start up.

yes, but you wont be able to run dual channel. look in your manual and it will tell you where to put three dimms. if there is a dual channel setting in the bios you set, you may have to clear the cmos to turn that off.

But i thought that s754 never runs in dual channel anyways?

Socket 754 doesn't have dual channel. I think what he acutaly was trying to refer to is that you will have to run in 2T isntead of 1T. Try going to 2T in your bios before sticking in the other ram. Also what are you running that you need 2gig of ram for? It may not be worth it.

Well mainly, I like to run many programs at once and my system really bogs down when I do. Like sometimes i try to run 2 WOW at the same time, and its just akiller cuz it takes up so much RAM.
