Can I add a 2nd person to my car title?

Help, can so and so sue me? my sister who's on title with me on the car hit someone and now they are suing me. i never added her to my insurance policy so the insurance company is useless and won't help me

while rude the answers (well most) were very helpful. you asked a very vague and incorrect question. they answered it best they could.

What you want to do is a VERY bad idea. it ranks up there with sticking your hand into a garbage disposal to see if it is working.
This. You can add someone to the insurance, but don't sign the car over. That's just crazy.

Both of my cars have my gf's name on the insurance in addition to my name. The registration only has my name. Why? Because those are my cars. She can drive them as much as she wants, but there's no way she could go crazy and sell them.

wouldnt most just add a co-signer without reissuing the loan all over again?
Don't know the legality of just adding someone to a loan. Besides, new loan at a higher rate(maybe) where the interest charges start all over =win for the bank.
