On the Asus bios update site it says that in order to update to latest BIOS (currently 1011), I need chipset driver 6.65 (WinXP) or later. I had sooo many problems when I got this board unitl I came here and realized I shouldnt install IDE/SATA drivers and disable hardware optimization for network drivers. Normally I would experiment, but too scared now. So, can I actualy use the latest chipset drivers from NVIDIA like the website states or no?

Thanks!

im running an asus a8n-e board with the 6.70 drivers off the nvidia site.you can run them, asus just hasnt put the latest up yet.all mobo manufactures are always behind.just don install the firewall and net manager.i run the ide drivers and the sound drivers and have no issues at all.put them on ,youll be fine.sorry to hear you had issues with the board.after 3 other ultra boards i bought this and its been as close to a perfect board as i have ever used.its very fast and very stable,o/clocks well.just my experience with this board and all the asus boards ive had..................................
