Have you driven in front of someone with those high intensity bulbs? Do you realize how annoying and painful it is... i usually pull over and let them pass. Rather that than risking being blinded by a stray flash...

You do realize real Xenon systems cost up to several thousand dollars? I guess you just want some of those cheesy blue bulbs. Pick them up where RB suggested.

And why do you want them for foglights?

And didn't you just post a similar topic?

If you want a real xenon HID system you better be prepared to spend a lot of money. Otherwise get the fake ones and piss people off.

You already have xenon bulbs. Most halogen lamps today are filled with xenon gas or krypton gas.

Ricer white/purple/blue plasma violet, Philips 9006, Osram-Sylvania H4, etc. are all halogen lamps at heart and they all have xenon gas in it and they're called xenon filled halogen lamps. Whether you have xenon or krypton doesn't make any difference other than very slight difference in lamp efficacy.

huh? the most annoying lights are from ultra tall suvs.

i have no problems with hids. the systems use autoleveling right? :p sometimes someone with normal headlights but they aren't aligned or osmething, kinda angled up too far, very annoying. ussually its only one side heh

my friend got the Philips HID kit for his E36 M3 a few months ago... bright as hell too... look really nice. Much better than those "hyper white" fake bulbs out there on the market. These are the real deal... costed about $500. It's hilarious though, he hasn't adjusted them yet, and I was driving in a parking lot, came to a T intersection, and it lit up the face of the driver passing by ;) and no I don't want any rants from any of you guys saying you hate people like me for driving around like that because your whining isn't going to do anything about it now will it :p

edit:
actually you were talking about foglights rather than headlamps so to answer your question, I remember that PIAA was coming out with a real HID foglamp set

I'm betting nothing comes of this. HID lights make a nice profit for the car companies, and they are not going to just give that up without a fight.

No, not all of them do.

wait, you have conflicting information... in the topic, you say fog lights, but in your post, you say bulbs... what do you want? The HID kit for your headlights, or external foglamp assemblies?

It is an expensive complete kit requring an extensive retrofitting process and depending on the kit, you'll have to live without high beam.

It is misleading to call them xenon lights, because xenon doesn't do anything other than providing some light for the first minute or so and aiding start. Once it is fully started, it is simply a metal halide lamp. Other than the instant-starting, it is identical to HID lights you see hanging down from Costco ceiling. It is a simple metal halide lamp in the heart. I think marketing people started calling them xenon, because it sounds luxurious and more exotic than "metal halide". Why do you guys want metal halide lamps for your headlights so badly?

I'd say HID automotive headlamps have a color temp of 5000K to 6000K. If many younger guys like this super-white, does that mean they'd want super white lights in school and home too? It will be really cool if schools starts using 5,000K lights instead of 3,000K.

I drive my bronco with my brights on all the time. All these new cars with super bright lights...my brights dont even come close to their standard lights. So I feel it's fair, I like to see the road a little better too..
