Can I abort my backup job while it is running VERIFY and not lose the data that was backed up ? (BackupExec BTW)

I have a backup job that is taking about 24 hours to complete...and that is BEFORE the VERIFY. I need to abort the verify to start another job. Will this kill all the data I backed up so far ??

No, it won't kill it, but you won't know if the data is good. That's why I started backing up to a hard drive.

You might want to consider moving to CA ArcServe. It's cheaper, and can record up to 4 simultaneous datastreams at a time.
