CAN HP BIOS BE UNLOCKED?

can i somehow reflash the bios or is there some software hack that would allow me to acess the bios in full? Because its a hewlet packard they lock things down like agp aperature and cpu speed down. has anyone discovered a way to get around it?

I think you need to "Google" up an HP specialty group.

I think there may even be a forum linked somewhere on the HP site. Yahoo has a bunch of specialty groups that are into hacking manufactured computers.

The one time I tried altering a manufactured computer, it turned out there was NO secret hidden access. What you see is what there is. What people can do though is find out the clockchip type and number by examining the motherboard, and there are utilities that will change the clock rate. You can get a mild OC that way.
