Can/How can I use a USR 5461 as a repeater station?

For some reason, I'm having difficulty getting a wireless connection from one end of my house to the other. I haven't tried any thing like a 7db omni antenna yet, but I would like to use a second USR 5461 as a repeater. Can I do this and How do I go about doing it?
