Can having too much AS5 cause heat problems?

Ok...lately while I've been trying to figure out a few problems...I've noticed my temps were insane. While running cpuburn & prime95 (dual instances) my temps go upto 68c (yikes I know). At idle right now I have 36c. Could it be caused by too much AS5? I don't know if I put the right amount on. I did the BB trick but maybe I did too much?

Everthing is in my sig for parts other then the following: 2 80mm fans upfront, 2 80mm fans outback, 1 80mm fan in the side of the case (mostly blowing on the video card, but some on the zalman.

So what do you think my problem would be with such high temps?

Too much AS5 can cause heat problems, but your idle temp looks fine, and it sounds like you used the right amount. Maybe the heatsink isn't seated properly. Does the base of the heatsink feel hot to the touch while under load(it should with temps that high if it's making good contact).

That idle temp sounds good, but that's quite a large increse on load temp.
Something doesn't seem right there, but I have no experience with dual core temps.
I suggest reapplying the AS5 and see if there is any difference.
Also that MB does have a history of giving incorrect temp readings. That could also be the cause.

Edit: BTW, how do you like your 930B for gaming?

I will definately try it...can't hurt. How would I know I don't have enough? Would it be bad not to have enough? Probably right?

Ok, late lastnight I took the HSF of and cleaned it up and reapplied the AS5, I DID have WAY too much on. I didn't have time to do any heat testing, but I will when I go home tonight.

I take it that having too much heat (due to too much AS5) could cause a bad OC correct? I believe I have a lame core 0, but could it be heat related?
