straight people sound so gross when you guys make it sound as if a straight male can't pass by a vagina without wanting to stick his dick in it.

I'm friends with heterosexual males and heterosexual females; they've also been friends with eachother for well over a decade without (to the best of my knowledge) any significant sexual tension.

One of the prettiest girls I have ever met is one of my close friends. I'm going out with her and her (hot) friends for her birthday tonight. She is almost 6 ft tall, slender, a dancer and has striking features. Anytime we hang out we have a blast, but also every single girl wherever we are gives me the longest stares. I get so much more attention than usual when I hang out with her, it is absurd.

She tells me stories about the pain she puts guys through and I laugh. It is terribly funny because I'm not the one dealing with it. She gets clingy and she gets pouty. I wouldn't be okay with that. But we have been good friends for over five years now and it is a friendship that I wouldn't give up just to fool around with her a few times.

I have the exact same relationship with one of my best friends, it's fun being on the girls side of the discussion when you aren't having to deal with the crap. If she were my girlfriend I'd have to put up with her moods, try and make her feel better deal with all that, but when she gets whiney or a bit bitchy I just tell her to man up and we carry on, because we are friends.

I talk to her about stuff I wouldn't dream of telling my male friends. She's beautiful but I have no interest in sleeping with her whatsoever.

No you are a man poodle, friend-zoned, whatever. As far as the girl is concerned the most you would ever be useful for is a good cuddle and chick flick night. The girls definitely aren't aware of what is going on that is for sure. All the sexual tension is stuffed away on part of the guy.

You can hang out with your girlfriends friends, or you can joke around with girls who are acquaintances etc, but any kind of girl-guy friendship is generally man poodle / friend zone / she thinks you are gay. You even admit yourself that you put your penis in a jar already just to prove what a nice guy you are lol.

I understand already having a good girlfriend and so everything else is a non-issue but then you come across the problem of how you act. Do you act like a man poodle where you get toted around to various girl adventures or do you act manly/flirty, but if you do the second it's not really a friendship. I'm not really a fan of acting girly around girls, as even they will have no idea where to place you. All they are wondering about is if you are gay, why you are there, or they are just naive. They will figure out you have a girlfriend then they will REALLY be wondering why you are there. I personally can't stand acting girly, so I don't really hangout with girls as friends.

I apologize for being a man trying to nail anything with a hole and a heartbeat. But no man will say no to free lunch

I have no idea what the fuck a man poodle friend zone is, but let me tell you I have actively decided to be friends and nothing more with many women. I have friendship, that we are both comfortable with without any kind of sexual under tones.

Put it this way, using your logic bisexuals couldn't be friends with anyone unless they are ugly.

I can answer that for you without having to get into what the hell a "man poodle is"... I just act like myself, the same as I do with everyone else I know.

Yes they can...if they're both mature enough to handle it...but most aren't.

I agree.
Usually the friendship together with reoccurring hormonal activity might create some strong feelings temporarily but when both are aware and not taking advantage of, these feelings can be quite enjoying and good for the ego and bonding on both sides.

Man poodle is what my girlfriend calls guys who follow around girls as friends, like they are a little dog you can tote around for fun. Wagging their little tails and panting lol.

Mmm OK, what does she call two people who are friends? Because that's what I am with some women. I don't follow them around. I don't "act like a little dog you can tote around for fun. Wagging my little tail and panting lol."

Can we all just agree that, of course, girls and guys can be just friends, but if the girl wants to have sex, it will happen (unless the guy is otherwise engaged, asexual or gay (and maybe even then)).

No we can't. If my female friends wanted to have sex with me, I would say no, they are my friends. I'm not interested.

Why would you want to act like a girl around girls? They generally wind up hating you for it in the long run. Hal and Loki practically sound like two girls right now anyway.

I don't act like a girl around girls. Where did you get that from?

You really never go out and just have lunch or a drink with a female friend without some sort of expectation of sex?

I'm confused as well. When I hang out with my female friends, and I have tons more of them than guy friends, most outsiders look at us and think we are dating.

I've never wanted to fuck any of my guy friends, even temporarily.
