Can GTX 1080 do 4k60fps maxed out?

From what I can recall, medium to ultra, probably not much but I've noticed in games like cs go, you get different skins from lowering texture settings.
 
I can confirm that 4-Way Titan X at ~1400MHz can easily run Witcher 3 at 4K with everything maxed at a steady 60 fps.
 
VEGA or GP100 probably could. we need 16B+ transistors at 1.2ghz+ to hit ultra visuals 60hz 4k.

Then the dev's will add more performance guzzling settings so 1080p is pushed to the limits, and then you will need another. The dev's will always find a way to use the latest GPU's at 1080p, until 1080p is no longer the standard.
 
I get 1fps when I go 4k on UT4 or other games,,, 1fps a second LOL the 1080 will probably do 30fps ,,,,,,,,,,,, Your not gonna get 60fps @ 4k ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, gl
