Can free weights alone give a "full" workout?

i'm going to try doing the thug workout in addition to free weights. I think it'll be great for muscle definition and cuts

"Muscle definition and cuts* is more of a function of having a lower bodyfat % and 'some' muscle mass then a single work out. I bet he eats lean or is naturally lean and roiding on the side.

I'm also willing to bet that almost no one here could do a 'muscle up on a bar' like that guy can.

you need to check out bodybuilding.com. Check out the excercises page that babbles recommended and check out their HUGE FORUMS. Seriously that place is a gold mind of fitness knowledge. I started working out knowing absolutely nothing and made amazing gains in a relatively short amount of time.

Just make sure that whatever work out you do is done right. Good form etc. Check out their forums for more.

You can do a buttload of crap with dumbells but should probably do cardi also as others have recommended.

Yeah, good thing for mentioning those forums. There is a wealth of information, in fact I think at times it can be too much information because there is a lot of debate over what I would consider minute preferences.

But, yes, most definitely check out those forums.

Yeah the guys in that video are just a bit too big/lean to be natural. I'm guessing their physiques have more to do with genetics + drugs than anything else. Of course a good diet is required too, but don't think you are going to look like them by doing what they are doing in that video.

 
It will be tough to get a good leg workout.

I suppose it is possible to squats with dumbbells, but you will probably need more than 30 lb.
 
omg on bodybuilding.com they got a ton of vids in video ipod format on how to properly do exercises, that's pretty sweet. 🙂
