Can fat people get kicked out of buffets?

I was eating at a Japanese all-you-can-eat buffet earlier today and started thinking about fat people. So I was wondering... if a really fat person ate all they could eat at an all-you-can-eat buffet and cleaned out the whole restaurant, would they get kicked out? Also, can people stay as long as they want in buffets? Like an all-day pass? Can they just like come in when the buffet opens, bring some books or work with them, pay, then stay there for the whole day and eat as they read and work?

Aren't a few of the people who place high in eating contests skinny little people? They're the ones to be really afraid of, because you never suspect them, and before you know it, the buffet trays are all empty.
Then all the fat people get kicked out, the trays are refilled, but get emptied yet again.

I don't think that they can kick you out, but you can be sured that they are WATCHING your ass and talking behind your back when you waddle through the door and up to the register.

I don't think they can kick you out if you aren't wasting food. They can, however, slow down the refills and or put out more of the food that you aren't eating.

It happened to my uncle once; he kept eating and eating and eating and they finally asked him to leave.

I don't remember if he asked for his money to be refunded or anything like that, but I just thought I'd throw that out there. Purely anecdotal, so take it for what it's worth.

I don't have an issue with larger folks dining at buffets. What I don't like is folks (whether skinny or plump) taking LOTS of food from the line and not eating it and going for more.

There have been stories of people getting kicked out of buffets for eating too much, not sure if it was related to their size.

me, older brother who got back from Navy, younger sister who is only two years younger than me...

we meet up with two friends we haven't seen in such a long time...

buffet, I had to leave half way 'cuz I had to go to work...

they stay, chat, talk, trash talk (seriously my sister needs to shut her mouth and so do I), so my brother keeps eating, everyone at the table is just watching him and laughing...

lunch hours are over...

dinner roles around, ...gets up and walks over to get fresh crabs?

so at this Chinese restaurant, the guy who must've been a manager asked my brother that he would have to pay again for the dinner fee if he wanted more. my brother put the plate down, and the party just left. if I was still there, I probably would have told me brother to:

A. grow up like his colleages

B. show respect for the owners who run the buffet

C. eat faster if you're not full, because "everyone" else is waiting on "you."

you can eat as much as you want, sure. but until you get kicked out when the shop closes or when the shift to the next primary meal occurs, you better make sure you have enough money for a second fee.

p.s. mystic lake casino in minnesota has hecka good stuff for their buffet line... never ever eat anything else there, it's such a rip off. just do the buffet or eat somewhere/something else.

I know some places enforce time limits. Most places close between lunch and dinner to raise prices and thus can kick you out.

They would make you pay again when the menu moves to lunch (if they have a breakfast) and again when the menu goes to dinner.

How is 'you cannot eat more than x plates' 'all you can eat'?
