People are inherently idiots, and will jump on any bandwagon for acceptance and a feeling of "fitting in". So they will all feel the need to start a new topic, without ever looking to see if it has been done 20 times already. Like everyone but them has been living under a rock until they hit the "New Topic" button....

Cliff's:

2. People who hang out on forums are unbelievably dumber than average. They just imagine they're smarter.
