Can dual-link DVI and HDMI work simultaneously?

Anyone running a 2560 x 1440 monitor off the dual-link DVI port and a 1920 x 1080p TV off the HDMI port from the same graphics card? If yes, which card?

(I thought I posted this question in the highly technical forum but can't find it so posting it here.)

Thanks for the feedback. I have a MSI HD6450 card which has both of those ports and can buy a 2560 x 1440 monitor now without having to buy a different graphics card. I use the HDMI to watch movies on a HDTV set.

Make sure the port is listed as Dual Link DVI-D. Just because the pin count looks right, they still may not support it, though I'd expect it will.

Yeah, I run a Dell 29 Inch 2560X1080 widescreen monitor in DVI-D and have a Olevia 747i in 1920X1080P in extended mode off one Asus DCII R9 280X, and it works just fine.

Yep, my MSI HD6450 does have dual-link DVI-D and is rated for up to 2560 x 1600. I just wasn't sure if the HDMI would work symultaneously or whether the DVI-D running at 2560 x 1440 would use up all of the resources of the card.

I'm running single-link DVI for my current low-res PC monitor and HDMI to our 1080p TV set and that works fine.

Running a BluRay on one and a 3D game on the other I'm not sure about, haven't been gaming a lot lately.

I know I can watch a BluRay on the 47 incher and web cruise just fine and other things the main monitor.

Ya might take a hit there when trying to do both maybe if trying to run high res on a 3D game with em both on.

Play with em and find out once you get it I suppose, but both function fine here just when messing about.

CPU might latter a bit have a XEON X5650 in here, but it still should work.

Matter of how far you can push it more or less I imagine.

There isn't much of a hit if at all. You looking at less than 5% hit on performance with a 2nd monitor, and there is virtually no extra VRAM requirements. Besides, he isn't likely gaming on that card anyways.

Right. I don't do gaming. Just photo editing, internet, word processing, spreadsheet and similar plus using the HDMI to watch DVD quality movies on our HDTV set.
