So much stuff to burn for Dreamcast: Quake1, operating systems, emulators, mp3 players, movie players, etc. Unfortunatly, it takes about 4 tries to get it right. Anyone know if CD-RW's work on Dreamcast? That might save me some $$$.

From a website:

As you may know it is not possible to use CD-ReWritable media on a Dreamcast. Now it is possible to use them by increasing the laser intensity so CD-RW can be used. Keep in mind this can burnout your GD-ROM laser sooner!
Find the pot-meter which is inside the GD-ROM (near the laser head).
Turn it about 1/4 clockwise.
Using a multi-meter measure that the pot-meter is set to 400-500 Ohm.
We have received a few messages concerning thins modification, most say it works but a few say that it did not work for them! If it does not work try to use a different brand of CD-RW media!

No, you gotta get a boot disc first and then burn it a special way. There is all this hygenix to play a copied DC game

ISO's have to be downloaded and burned with DiscJuggler and you don't need a bootdisk anymore.
