Can DirectCD run without EasyCD Creator being installed?

I love Nero for all things...except making a floppy out of a cd-r which it simply can't do. It can and will make a floppy out of a CD-RW using InCD, but I have dozens of old CD-Rs that I don't need anymore so DirectCD would actually be useful to me. But I don't want to have to install EasyCD creator to make it work - is there any way just to install and use DirectCD by itself?
 
Direct CD disappears in ECDC version 6. The function is more integrated.
