Can DDR ram work with SDR ram?

Man it's been while since ive caught up with the whole scene.....

Anyways, i see this nice lookin' mainboard here:
Asus A7A266 ALI M1647 266Mhz FSB 5PCI/1AGP4x/2DDR-DIMM/3SD-DIMM socket A & ATA-100


I notice that you can put either DDR or SD ram in there, does it have to be one or the other? Or can both types of ram work at the same time? Thanks.

u can only use one at a time... they got both on there so its cheaper to make one board for both the customer buying sdr, and the one buying ddr

ahh ok thanks. I was thinkin' that was too good to be true I mean, i could move my 256mb SD ram over and add 256 DDR for another $50..... lol, wishful thinking.....
