Can burned CDs be played in a DVD player?

I would like to record a TV program on to a CD, can I play that burned CD in a DVD player?

depends on the format of the cd...many dvds can play vcd

you usually have to use a 650Meg/74 min CD. not a 700meg/80 min cd

It depends if your DVD player can read CDR or CDRW properly. Check the list of players here to see if it can.

SVCD is better than VCD, but not as many players support it...
