can bass kill fish?

i bought 2 of those cool beta fish the other day, and i set them up nice on top of my desk. the next day i went to feed them in the evening after a day of loud music and gameing and one of the fish was dead. could the bass from the music and games kill the fish? or could it have died of natural causes after just one day? the other one is not really looking to good, kind just sits there. the speakers are logitach 560s, so they are pretty loud. any ideas?

Yes, bass eat smaller fish, thereby killing them.

😀

I seriously doubt it was the fish. I've got a 55 gallon tank sitting next to my hometheater sub, and my fish are fine. More than likely, the fish died from shock due to transport.

You probably put two males in the tank together which is a big no no. The are called fighting fish for a reason. The one probably killed the other and is wounded from the fight which is why he's not moving well.

Yes, but you wont be able to produce levels high enough to kill'm. I know whales and dolphins start suffering around 160 - 180 DB. Above 200 there pretty much done for. But, your talking Navy powered Sonar to reach these levels in water.
So to reiterate. Yes, but you didnt kill'm with your subwoofer.

Seriously, I have seen people do that before. They look nice, but one in a tank only.
They usually kill each other. One kills the other and the winner is so hurt he is dying anyway
So neither win.

i did not put them in the same tank, they each had their own tanks, i got a new fish for free from petco since they have a 10 day warantee. lets hoe this one does better 🙂

OK, admit it, you were blasting Sean Paul weren't you?
I would have lost my will to live too.

YES, Bass can kill. I still remember one time in an car audio store where they setup my car.
I had 6 15" rockford fostgate pro with around 500W of power on each sub. They put young chicken in the car and play a 3 minutes music, with the loudest setting and all windows closed. When we open the door, the chicken died.

Yes, bass can kill some animals/fish. Different parts of the body resonate at different frequencies, so if the fishes brain resonates at 30 hz, and your bass is 30 hz, the fishes brain resonates and...

Yeah, dogs and fish are hardly the same. If you kill a dog, you could get charged with animal cruelty. If you kill a fish, I highly doubt any police would care. And you can go fishing, but you sure don't go dog hunting. 😉

But it begs the question, where do you draw the line? It's ok to kill some bugs or a fish, but a squirrel? A cat? A dog? A human? WHERE IS THE LINE!?

its over there...........in the sand........ next to taco bell

it wasnt here, it was back in indonesia.... They told me not to turn the volume to the max while I was in the car cause it could cause my hard to stop. Well i dont believe them and they said that they will do a demonstrations. The next day I stopped by the store and they had this chicken in a cage. They put the chicken in the car, then he turn up the volume all the way up with remote and then play some bass music for like 3-5 minutes. When we open the door the chicken was lying there not moving.

I had Betas near my sub and both speakers and I always jam loud and with lotsa boom and all my Betas loved it. I seriously doubt it twas the boom.
