of course they can.

but from what i understand Post office money orders offer the most protection.

Yeah you can. Although the last time I went to get one they tried to get me to use a cashier's check instead. But that was probably better for $2300 anyway.

Yes banks can issue Money Order, Cashier's Check and other monetary instruments.

Many gas stations and groceries has MOs as well. There's plenty of places around here that do them for $0.89 or something like that. My bank charges $4.00 for them unless they are in a good mood or you have a priority account. I usually try them first. If I can't get it free there, I go to a gas station.

I get cashiers check for free from my bank!! :)

and yes I do have priority account..

That's because Money Orders of any type are only issued at up to $1000.

you can get a MO at lots of places...banks, grocery stores, gas stations, send me the money via paypal and i'll send the person a check ...... :)
