I DID SOME RESEARCH ON THE WEB AND SOME R SAYIN A BIOS UPDATE WILL DO JUST FINE

I WAS HOPING TO UPGRADE TO Q9450............. IF A BIOS UPGRADE MAKES IT RUN WILL I GET OPTIMUM PERFORMANCE OR MAYBE ABLE TO OVERCLOCK IT

Well, Asus's main specs page for the board says it will support next generation 45nm quad cores. however it doesn't look like they have updated the CPU support list in awhile as the highest quad is the Q6700. I would e-mail or call asus or look around in their forum.

I think you are out of luck.

I have the P5N32-E SLI (680i) and it also only supports Q6600 and Q6700 @ 65nm.

None of the 45nm Quad Core Core2Quad's will be supported.

That is the only reason to upgrade to a 780i or 790i.

They do, however, support 45nm 1333fsb Wolfdale Core2DUO!
