From personal experience, it may be a bit small if you plan on doing large concoctions of food. When I first saw it I thought it was on the small side. Don't expect to make two servings of smoothies with it.

Works great... we use it to make smoothies almost every day... whatever you do DON'T buy it from target online, we got charged and sent 2... only wanted 1... had to deal with UPS and them several times.

Also gotta love the infomerical with the crazy british dude and the haggish lady SMOKING A CIG during the entire pitch.. hahahaahah

its good for making smoothies, grinding coffee/spices, grating hard cheeses

it sucks for chopping stuff though
sure you can just give it a few pulses, but your options are
- some small pieces and some really big pieces
- some small pieces, some medium pieces, some mush
- half small pieces, half mush

if you're looking for the miracle gadget, learn to use a knife instead
i take that back...if you're single, it may work better as you can use really small portions...although for chopping, you're still better off with a knife

i got mine off ebay for about 30 shipped (with all the extra stuff too)
