This is a part of a form, from some old deceased relative. The form was found in a box dated 1928. Appears to be a birth certificate.
Going by the poor writing, we can't figure out what the occupation might be or the nature of industry?
Can anyone tell?
Thx

I think you’re right about laborer but the nature I’m still not sure.
Grading could be right considering occupation laborer.
Road grading could have been a common job back then.
1928 right before the big crash.
This was 1928 so it’s hard to tell what they considered as industry.
This form was a birth certificate for the child and the mother had no children other than this first.

interesting thing about the mother, while single she hitch hiked around the country with a girlfriend. They always took a photo of the car and the driver nice enough to give the two a lift. One well dressed driver with a very nice car refused to take a picture. Later they learned this driver that gave them a ride was Howard Hughes. Not recognizing him at the time but later in newspapers. We found a box of many photos with drivers and their car. I guess one could do that back then without being raped or murdered.
Maybe I can post some of those pictures later.
Thanks for the suggestions.
