The power botton got stuck pushed in on my pc now it just beeps and nothing shows on the screen, it sounds like a long steady beep the motherbaord it a Asus a7n8x-x.

Thanks for you help.

Thinks I Have tried so far took out ram unplugged Hard drives and DVD-Rom Reset the CMOS with the jumper.

No the botton was only stuck a few seconds, now its not stuck but the pc won't boot and its beeping?

I think I need a new Motherbaord what do you think?

I think you need a new power switch. Reset the cmos, disconnect the power switch, and try turning it on with a screwdriver (short the two power_switch leads).

Hm.. usually long beep without anything on the screen means the ram is not pushed into the slot properly or there are no ram modules in the slot.

Did you make sure the rams are pushed in properly? You said you took out the ram module, just try putting one module in properly.

Looking fine doesn't mean it's fine internally. Try the above to eliminate it as the problem before replacing your motherboard.
