Can anyone tell me what just happened?

I was sitting here surfing the OT forums when I thought I heard a click come from my rig. Everything was fine for a min or so until everything just froze. I reset twice and the vid card came up but the boot stopped when it got to the Intel Mother board screen. After it stayed on that for about a minute, the screen went blank and then said "select proper boot device." I unplugged all the cables from the HD and removed it from the box, shot it with the air can a few times and now it works. Should I be back up everything and get a new HD cause this one seems unstable? Or could it be just a freak glitch?

Back up the data and then run the manufacturer's tests on the drive to see if it passes.
