Can anyone tell me what anime this is?

I saw it once on Saturday Anime on the Sci-Fi channel. Can only remember some details of the plot but it involved this giant black crystal with the leaders of the land living near it and they were all deformed from its' power. All I can remember at the end is the main character going on this bridge of stones that disappeared as she entered this black crystal in this lush green garden.

I know it's not much to go on but I don't know any other way to describe it as this is all I can remember from that long ago.
