Since it is IDE, you will have to turn off the computer, turn on the device with the key, then turn the computer on. IDE devices are not hot swappable, so you will have to turn them on before the machine POSTs. As far as what they fit into, search for the model #, they should have the full rack available on their website.

From what I can tell, you take them and put them into your regular old 5.25" drive bays, and there's a removable tray inside the part which is bolted to your case which lets you take out/put in different hard drives whenever you feel like it.

Mobile racks are also available for SATA drives. They allow great felxibility. You can have several inner trays for one rack. With two racks, you can switch between them. Power off for PATA/IDE, and hot switch with SATA.

Yap, all of my computers have one or two mobile racks.

Makes working with different OS' and different core installation very easy.

With two Mobile racks, it is very easy to backup, copy, it also great to get the file out of Drives that lost thier boot by putting them secondary with Good Boot drive.

Much better, faster, and more reliable than enclosures.
