Can anyone suggest an (EDIT) SPORE style game?

I'm just looking to find a game to play.
And i'm in the mood for an EVO style game.
You know, play as a god, but a scientific god where things still evolve based on my decisions.

Are you referring to the EVO game that was on the SNES a long time back?

That game was so great. I spent years looking for a rom of that game before I finally found one. I'm always looking for a game similiar to that, it looks like Spore is my only real hope.

Yeah, I loved that game so much. I liked how you could eventually evolve with things like wings and sharp teeth, but had to find the "upgrades"

Really neat game, for anyone that hasn't played it before.

there is a board game called 'evo' that is pretty good fun. you control a herd of dinosaurs, and evolve them to better survive the changing climate as well as attack and defend against rival herds. then a meteor hits the earth and wipes out all life on the planet! the end.

that game is pretty fun. there's another euro-style board game out there called 'primordial soup' where you control a number of amoebas that also evolve to survive more effectively, and consume the other amoebas you're playing against.
