Can Anyone suggest a UPS for me? uninterrupt power supply

I don't to be expensive but i just want a UPS that can prevent thunder storm. My RIVe died cuz of a thunderstorm (crying)

I have an APC BX1000G powering my setup below. Actually its powering both setups at the same time.

I just got an APC SUA-750 for $90 refurbished on Ebay. It'll run my system with dual monitors for roughly 55 minutes ($300 new).

Stay away from the Back-Ups like the BX series. They have inflated VA and wattage ratings. Tried a BX1000, and it would only run the system for about 8 minutes. Also weighed about half of what the SUA-750 does. Makes sense since it only has about half the battery capacity. We've also had many of the plastic APC's fail on us here at work.

I like SUA-1400 (APC Smart UPS's) on ebay...I buy them sans battery and then source my own new ones. You want to verify no corrosion is inside any of these as that is common with poorly maintained UPS's.

You probably want to change batteries every year for optimum service life.

The newer 1500 series adds USB instead of a specialized Serial-type interface, but I don't use either.
