Can anyone suggest a moving company?

So yeah, I need to start getting a few bids on moving companies. I'd like to use a company that you've used before, preferably with a good and long history. :)

Thanks! Need to move soon, so yeah, I've procrastinated a bit :p

The thing to keep in mind is that many moving companies are locally operated and owned even though it's a "national" name. So even though somebody in Omaha had great experience with Mayflower, somebody else in San Antonio had a miserable one.

How much stuff are you actually looking at moving?

After moving 5 times in the last 7 years I've found some good resources. My last two moves were from places on there and we've had great experiences. You're more than welcome.

I just had a coworker move with Pods, if you want something cheaper and can do most of it yourself, that might be an option (plus if you live in a house now). It seemed to work well for him.

Yeh, it's tough to beat the value of a Ryder truck & a trailer for your car. But it really comes down to how much stuff you have. Moving companies can add up VERY fast depending on how much stuff, how much it weighs, and if you have them pack it up and load it for you.

I don't care how much it costs as the company's going to pay for it, along with shipping my car :p :D

I really don't have that much stuff, as most of my furniture will be purchased down there. A dining room table and 4 chairs, bedroom set with bed, headboard and dresser. Possibly one leather chair and ottoman and everything else is clothes and possessions (including my audio system, but that amounts to 8-10 small boxes, not a big deal).
