I have a room 25 long and 20 wide. Here is what I put together in the last week of research. Please give me your input good or bad. I only have room for bookshelfs and about a $2500 budget which Iam over by a bit now
Thanks Mike

This should blow it away:

Pioneer SC-1222-K receiver (newegg) 499.99
Ascend CMT-340 SE mains
Ascend CMT-340 C center
Ascend CBM-170SE rear
Rythmik F12SE Servo subwoofer 2,067.05 package deal
---------------
total is $2,567

You can remove the subwoofer and go with an SVS SB-1000, which will cut it down to $2,116.99 if you don't want a $1k subwoofer.

Alternatively you could go with the SVS SB-1000 subwoofer but upgrade front and center to Ascend Sierra piano black, that will increase your system cost to $2606.99.

With all the suggestion how do I select without hearing them. I live in South Florida and the store out here are lame. Best-buy, Brands-mart all have issues with their audio rooms. I thought I was lucky to have a Sound Advice near me but wrong again. They only had 3 types that are bookshelf. Does anyone have any suggestions I don't want to buy blind as the ear is the final decision.

Since you are going to have a hard time listening to these in person, I'm coming up w/ a list of what I would consider to be reputable online dealers with speaker packages in your price range. IMO, Best Buy Magnolia stores have a decent selection of higher end receivers. So you could buy from them and not have to worry about return policy vs buying from the web (newegg, amazon, crutchfield, etc).
Without further ado...
Hsu Hybrid 3 5.1 package
Emotiva speakers
Axiom Audio
Aperion Audio

From my research all of these are well known internet brands that offer some sort of in home trial. Some are free, others you have to pay shipping on the return route. Emotiva also does pre/pro hardware, but that will probably push you over budget. Enjoy!

go do some research over on avs and see if there are people that live around you who would be willing to demo their setup of ones you may be interested in. from my experience when i did research, people were more than happy to show off their stuff. i went to quite a few demos before i made my purchase. and the funny thing is i ended up purchasing speakers i had never heard prior to purchasing them, due to the research i did and how people said they compared to the speakers i had heard, as well as what my goals were.

2500 is no chump change so take your time and do thorough research. months if you have to in order to be sure you get as close to what you want as possible.
