Can anyone recommend some quiet and cheap fans?

I got a case with 3 80 mm fans (2 extake, 1 intake) and it is loud a hell! Pissing me off quite a bit recently. Two of the fans came with the case, the other is a Memorex fan that I got a bit back.


Any suggestions? I got a large case so they need to push some air, but not too much.

If you are looking for silence you aren't going to get much airflow out of 80mm fans. If your temps are good and you can sacrifice some airflow go with nexus/yate loon.

remember: if you silence you case fans, you will start to hear other components like VGA and CPU fans - so be prepared to replace other components if you want your rig to be wisper quiet.

I had the same problem with my old Antec. I just modded it to take 2 120mm fans instead of 4 80mm ones. Less noise and better circulation.
