Can anyone recommend a wireless keyboard with a trackball?

I have a Lenovo Enhanced Multimedia Remote with backlit keyboard which works good enough for me when i need a keyboard/mouse for my htpc. Dont use it all that often and have only replaced the batteries once in a few months (could last longer if you turn it off when not in use too). I have both the trackball version and the other version. Each has pros and cons but for trackball usage i like the actual trackball....for keyboard i like the other one.

You might look at one of those mini wireless keyboards. I am considering something like that. I think some samsung TV's might be controllable with something like a qwerty or smart phone. A smartphone has a charger. Maybe even one of those remote controls.

I have THIS one and it works well. My buddy got this after 4 months of frustrating use of the dinovo..its a nice concept, but there are things it just doesnt do well. Not sure if you ever would need the capability, but its extremely tedious, if not impossible, to select multiple files and drag/drop somewhere else. Thats just one example.

I like my dinovo but I have to agree there are some frustrating things like you described. For me, I don't run into these issues enough for me to replace it but I'll keep this one in mind in case I do.

Another vote for the IO Gear. I use one too and it works well.

I'll add another vote for the IO Gear. I built my parents a HTPC about 5 years ago and they had terrible trouble using it with the remote. I didn't know if it was Windows Media Center or the remote. I bought them this keyboard for Christmas a year ago and since then they have no issues running the HTPC.

There is another IO gear one available on Amazon. I have not researched if it has more features or functionality but it is a newer model and may be worth a look.

i have the same IOGear. pleased with it, esp for the price I paid - $25 at microcenter. My HTPC is about 15' behind my seating area, and sometime it loses connection and I'd have to hold the keyboard up. But it works most of the time. I'll probably get an USB extender cable and move the receiver closer

I love my dinovo edge. I use it along with a rolling laptop cart to place it near wherever I'm sitting, but works well in my lap too. The range is fantastic. It has a touchpad instead of a trackball, but the scroll feature on the touchpad works perfectly and the pad itself is very sensitive. The battery will go for a couple of months on a single charge, and you can charge it enough for a week's worth of use in about 30 minutes. It also looks and feels beautiful. The main drawback is the price. I think I got mine for ~$150, but I see Amazon has it for $136.95 right now.
